Anselmo Ochoa

Anselmo Ochoa was born April 21, 1955 in Lubbock, Texas to Leon Sr. and Manuela Ochoa and passed from this life on December18, 2024 at the age of 69.  He obtained his degree in philosophy from Texas Tech University.  Anselmo impacted the lives of many students as he drove a school bus for Durham School Services for over 30 years. He was an avid gun collector, hunter, and fisherman.  Anselmo will be remembered for the kindness and love he expressed to his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews who he cherished deeply.

Anselmo is survived by his mother Manuela; his brothers John Ochoa (Norma), Leon Ochoa, Jr. (Lucy), Joe Ochoa, Ramon Ochoa (Isabel), and Tomas Ochoa (Natalie); his sisters Rosemary Wilson (Frank), Emelia Ochoa, Mary Ochoa, Ester Ochoa, Cecilia Martinez (Adam), and Sandy Mendoza; and several beloved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Leon Ochoa, Sr. and his brothers Albert Ochoa, Pete Ochoa, and Jesse Ochoa.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 27 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m.
