Angelita Garza Marmolejo

Angelita “Angie” Garza Marmolejo, age 82, passed away on December 20, 2020 at her home. She was the wife of Jose Adan Marmolejo for many years. Angie was born on October 10, 1938 in Barbarosa, TX to Porfirio and Antonia Garza. She was a graduate of Lorenzo High School. She was employed at Covenant Hospital and worked in Environmental Services. She was also a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Angie enjoyed gardening and watching her Dallas Cowboys. She will be remembered for the time she spent with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Angie is survived by her children; Rudy (Gracie) Marmolejo, Adam Marmolejo, George Marmolejo and Ruby (Andrew) Vidaurre, all of Lubbock; siblings, Margarita (Mage’) Tenneyuque of Ft. Worth, TX, Amelia Arreguin of Baytown, TX, Henry Garza of Corpus Christi, TX, and Sulema Sosa of Lubbock, TX; 13 grandkids, 18 great grandkids and two great-great grandkids, and her grandchildren who she called her own : Isaac Rodriguez, Amy Rodriguez and Santos (Pelon) Rodriguez.. She is preceded in death by her father, Porfirio Garza; mother, Antonia Valdez Garza; brothers, Luis Garza and Santos Garza; sisters, Elodia Salazar, Hermania (Minnie) Puente, Maria de Jesus Garza (Marica); daughter, Margie Rodriguez; and son, Raul Marmolejo. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 beginning at 7:00pm at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
