Amaya Vela

Amaya Regina Vela passed from this life on June 11, 2023. She was born February 3, 2023 in Lubbock, TX to Christopher Dedrick and Preciosa Vela. Her precious smile will be forever remembered. She enjoyed sticking her tongue out, blowing bubbles, and riding in the car. She loved her brother and spending time with her grandpa Raymond. Amaya is survived by her parents Preciosa Vela and Christopher Dedrick, her brother Mateo Vela, her aunts and uncles Ashely Chapa, Chryslyn Dedrick, Mike Chapa, Christina Rios, Raymond Chapa Jr., Christian Dedirck, John Harvey, Brittany Rodriguez, Melanie Montoya, Aubery Perez, Ezequiel Chapa, her grandparents Raymond Chapa, Trish Vela, Christian Lynn Locklair, and Blake Maples, and great-grandmother Josie Vela. She is preceded in death by her great-grandfather Victor Vela, her uncles Albert Lee Vela and Johnny Vela, and her cousin Selena Vela.

Visitation will be held from 3:00pm-9:00pm on Thursday, June 22nd, 2023 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, June 23rd, 2023 at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in New Deal, Texas.
