Amanda Lee Gipson

Amanda Lee Gipson, 44, of Lubbock, went to rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 24, 2022. Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 4th at 2pm in Guajardo Funeral Chapels Lubbock, TX. Amanda was born to Miguel and the late Margarita Salas on July 24, 1977, in Amherst. She spent her childhood growing up in Littlefield with her cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. She graduated High School in Spade. She fell head over heels in love with the love of her life, Travis Gipson in the summer of 1994. On April 25, 1998 they married in Littlefield. In March of 1996, she had her first son, Justin Anthony, and three years later in September 1999 she had her second son, Donovin Maleak. In 2003 Amanda was saved by grace through faith and adopted into the body of Christ. Amanda enjoyed reading and purchasing books from her favorite author, J.D. Robb. She loved playing games with her family and collecting owls. Her greatest joy was baking. From her light and fluffy rolls to her sweet sugar cookies, Amanda was our Spanish Betty Crocker always trying something new, but always making sure her family had their favorites. Her infectious smile and warm hugs were enough to brighten anyone’s day. She was constantly checking up on anyone who was sick or feeling down and was ALWAYS there to lend an ear. She loved greatly and selflessly and all of us who were blessed to know her are grateful for the many memories we have shared. She joins her mother, Margarita Salas and grandparents Reynaldo and Santos Morales in death. She is survived by her husband and sons, Travis and Donovin Gipson of Lubbock, and Justin Gipson of Clovis, NM, her father, Miguel Salas of Littlefield, one sister, Anna Aguirre of Muleshoe, two brothers, Mike Salas, Jr. of Amherst, and Gabriel Salas of Fort Worth.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday. February 12th, 2022 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
