Alma Rose LaPoint, born on August 17, 1980, in Toledo, Ohio, brought joy and love to every life she touched. She departed this world on December 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness that will endure through the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Alma was a free spirit with a genuine heart, who embraced life unapologetically. Family and friends remember her as the heart of the family, always seeing the best in everyone and loving unconditionally. Her spirit resonated deeply, creating a bond that drew people together.
Among her proudest accomplishments were her cherished children, Cyris Kai Lewis, Angel Rose Lewis, and Royal Gaige Lewis, whom she nurtured and cherished with boundless love. She was a devoted mother-in-law to Angel Lopez, and welcomed her daughters-in-law, Malie Rose Rodriguez and Aerika Brown, into her heart. Alma is also survived by her beloved mother, Mary Jane LaPoint, and her five siblings: Oliver Landeros III, Tina Marie Landeros, Susan Gloria, Rudolph Gloria, and Darlene Altamirano, along with her sister-in-law, Teresa Landeros.
Alma's legacy continues through her five wonderful grandchildren: Kind Rose Lewis, Kyson King Lewis, Nessiah Palos, Aliyana Rose Lewis, and Major Kai Lewis, who filled her life with laughter and joy. The warmth of her presence can also be felt through her 15 nieces and nephews, and 19 great nieces and nephews, all of whom were fortunate to experience her love and guidance.
She held dear many close friendships, including those with Joe Castro III, Joe (Hoze) Hernandez, and Marlena Ortega. These relationships were a testament to her magnetic personality and ability to connect with people on a profound level.
Alma found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was crafting, dancing to music, drawing, or spending cherished moments playing Cat TV for her three cats. Family gatherings, filled with love and laughter, were the highlight of her life.
Alma will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Though she has been reunited in eternal rest with her son, Cyris Kai Lewis, sister, Sunday Manzanares, and grandmother, Jessie Vargas, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who carry forward her legacy of love and acceptance. Her memory serves as a reminder to embrace life with an unconditional love that knows no bounds.
