Alfonso Gamboa

Alfonso Gamboa went to be with his Lord and Savior December 6, 2020 at the age of 73. He was born August 8, 1947 in Roswell, NM to Ramon Gamboa and Juanita Navarette. Alfonso was a Lubbock High School graduate, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and later retired from truck driving. He enjoyed playing bingo and bowling. He also loved to dance and sing. Alfonso will be remembered most for his kindness. He was confident and always knew what he wanted. Those left to cherish his memory are his only son Alfonso Gamboa, Jr., his brother Ramon (Guadalupe) Gamboa, and his sister Sandra (Frank) Reyna.He is preceded in death by his parents Ramon Gamboa and Juanita Navarette, his brother Julio Gamboa, and his sisters Mary Piseno and Nancy Garcia.Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 9 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary service at 7:00 that evening at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
