Alexander Manuel Benavides

Alexander Manuel Benavides passed away June 27, 2021, at the age of 35. He was born July 29, 1985, in Lubbock, TX to his biological mother Aurora Avalos and adopted by his parents Manuela and Felix Benavides. In August of 2002, Alexander married Anastacia Benavides in Lubbock, and they shared 18 years together. Alexander was self employed as a tradesman. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Alexander was a loving, caring person and will be remembered for how he always looked out for others.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Anastacia, their children Alexander D. Benavides, Nathan A. Benavides, and Joe Angel Benavides; his brothers Victor Vela III, Joseph Vela, Rene Benavides, Sr., Felix Benavides, Jr., Angel Benavides, Rene Benavides, Jr., Michael Benavides; and his sisters Anjelica Vela and Patricia Benavides.
He is preceded in death by his father Felix Benavides and his sister Stephanie Navarro.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 6 from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary prayed at 7:00 that evening. Funeral services will be held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels Wednesday, July 7 at 2:00 with Pastor Lloyd Zuniga, Jr. from Across the Way Baptist Church officiating.
