Alesia Ciara Chavez

Alesia Ciara Chavez, age 34, passed from this life on November 11th, 2024 in Lubbock, Texas. She was the mother of Emma Grace Chavez and Jaylee Rose Collazo. She was born on March 23, 1990 in Lubbock, Texas to Amelia Ramirez Salazar and Michael Chavez. She graduated from Frenship High School and attended Wayland Baptist University and Texas Tech University where she studied special education. She was a member of The Refuge Lubbock. Alesia enjoyed time with her kids, music, movies and would often say movie quotes. She also wrote lyrics and recorded music in her spare time. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality, courageous spirit and love of her family. She was also a sports fan specifically the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Tech Red Raiders.

She is survived by her children, Emma Chavez and Jaylee Collazo. Her parents, Amelia Ramirez Salazar (Rodolfo), Guillermo Mendez, and Michael and Anita Chavez. Five brothers, Sean Chavez, Eric Chavez, Anson Salazar (Ashley), Elias Mendez (Ashley),  and Matthew Mendez. Two sisters, Abby Freo and Athena Rodriguez (Ramiro) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She is proceeded in death by Ross Chavez (uncle), Connie Bowley (grandmother), Ramiro and Amelia Ramirez (maternal grandparents).
