Abraham Herrera

Abraham Herrera, Jr. passed away September 12, 2021, at the age of 54. He was born September 13, 1966, to Abraham and Vita Herrera. He married Bernadette Herrera September 19, 2009, and they shared 22 years together. Abraham was a graduate of Lubbock High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator at DPR McHam. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren watching his Dallas Cowboys, and spending time in the yard. Abraham will be remembered for being a loving and caring husband, father, brother, uncle, and PawPaw. His contagious smile, his laugh, his big heart and kindness, and the joy he brought anyone he came in touch with will not be forgotten.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Bernadette Herrera, his sons Aaron, Michael and Matthew Munoz, Evan Herrera, and Chris Luna; his daughter Hannah Herrera; his sisters Isabel Herrera, Esther Garcia, Juanita Cole, and Elena Rojas; his grandchildren Sebastian, Mason, Addison, and Jacobi Munoz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Abraham is preceded in death by his parents Abraham and Vita Herrera, his uncle Alcadio Martinez and his brother-in-law Wayland Cole.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 18 and Sunday, September 19 with a Holy Rosary service at 7:00 Sunday evening at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 20 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
