Pablo Aguilar was born on April 15, 1954 in Rosenburg, TX. He was 64 years old when he passed on February 23, 2019 in Lubbock, TX. Pablo was survived by his mother Angelita Flores of Rosenburg, TX, and his loving wife Hermelinda Garcia (Aguilar) of Ballinger, TX. Pablo is survived by his four children: Timothy Garcia, Lionicio (Necho) Garcia of Lubbock, TX, Duke Aguilar, of Lubbock, TX, Paulinda (Cha-Cha) Aguilar of Lubbock, TX, Melanie Mata of Lubbock, TX, and his six step children: two step daughters Irma and Julie Garcia, and four step sons Jesse, Lee,and Eddie all of Lubbock, TX. Pablo is survived by two brothers and four sisters, one of Lubbock, TX and five of Amarillo, TX. Pablo is survived by many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pablo Aguilar was preceded in death by his father Eusebia Santos Aguilar Jr. of San Antonio, TX, his sister Janie Aguilar of Rosenburg, TX, his grandmother Thedora Basan Aguilar of Levelland, TX, and his granddaughter Deborah (Garcia) Mota of Lubbock, TX.

Pablo Aguilar was a loving and devoted father to not only his children and grandchildren, but he left an impression as a father figure on many whose lives he touched. Pablo loved his family and the Lord, and he taught his family to love and follow the Lord. He was one of the best musicians, and he left a legacy of being a great musician and the love of music to all. The death of Pablo will impact many. His love spread from his family to the world, as the Lord taught him to ‘love thy neighbor’, and this is what Pablo did. A scar from his loss will be left on all who knew him.

Pablo’s loved ones are invited for a viewing at Guajardo Funeral Chapels on February 27, 2019 from 12pm to 9 pm. We will be celebrating his life at Guajardo Funeral Chapels on February 28, 2019 at 2pm. We will proceed to City of Levelland Cemetery following the service of celebration to lay him in his final resting place.
