Nicholas Flores Obituary

Nicholas Ismael Flores was born in Lubbock on January 20, 2000 to Jerry and Mary Jo Flores.  He went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 14, 2019 at the age of 19.  Nicholas was a senior at LISD, he was home bound.  Nicholas lived his life to it’s fullest.  He was full of love, laughter and most importantly he was a joker and a prankster.  At any opportunity he was ready to make you laugh.  Some words were nice, others not so nice.  Regardless his desire was to make you laugh.  Nicholas loved his family dearly, his mom Mary Jo “ Foo-Foo”, dad Jerry “Jerito”, his twin sisters and his new nephew Noah.  Having baby Noah here was a blessing, Nicholas took the important role of taking care of Noah.  He loved his sister Erica, niece, and nephews, Maile, Eli and Josh they were more like brothers and sisters, he was very loved by them.  He always knew he could pick up the phone and call his sisters Erica and request his favorite food and she would get it.  Nicholas spent many hours with his maternal Grandmother Ramona Herrera and his Paternal Grandmother Aurora Flores, who both helped with his care.  He had many  aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends to which he had an individual bond with.  Nicholas loved all regardless if they were a stranger or not.  He just loved life.  A true fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Spiderman.  Thanks to one very special man Dr. Alami and Mrs. Alami and Staff, Sandra and Mary for all the love and support throughout the years.  Dr. Alami referred to Nicholas as “boy-friend”,  Dr. Alami you are truly a blessing, You will forever have a special place in our hearts.  Dr. Sekaily, and his staff Sylvia, Melissa, Meri and Ella.  His case worker Kara and all Dr.’s and nurses at Children Medical Center in Dallas.  Dr. Linda Baker, Dr. Amanda Masters and staff.  To Shelia Wagers and Mrs. Kathy, to all the staff that were in Nicholas’s life, we thank you.  I could go on with the list of people that touched Nicholas’s Life you know who you are and we thank you all so very much.  Nicholas had such an impact on so many lives while here on earth.  He will never ever be forgotten but will always be in our hearts.  He loved everyone in his life unconditionally and he instilled that in our lives.  We will forever continue his legacy remembering him as a true warrior.  He fought a good fight and he won the race while here on earth.  We know he is now in heaven, walking the streets of gold where he is made complete and healed, We thank you God for loving Nicholas and giving his rest.  He was preceded in death by Maternal Grandfather Celestino Herrera, Paternal Grandfather Maximiliano Flores, Brother Jerry Flores Jr. “Pappies”, aunt and godmother Gloria Duran, Cousins, Gilbert Herrera Duran and Bobby Herrera.  Survived by his parents, Jerry and Mary Jo Flores, Twin sisters Elexia and Emily, (Adrian Ramos), Big sister Erica, ( Chris Lopez), nephews and niece, Eli, Joshua, Noah Anthony and Maile.  Godparents Everado and Gloria Ann Duran and numerous extended family and friends.  Nicholas until we meet again you will forever be in our hearts, we love you to infinity and beyond our baby boy.  Viewing Saturday and Sunday 9am to 9pm, Rosary Sunday May 19th, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.  His service day will be on Monday May 20th, 2019 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, followed by the burial at Peaceful Gardens.  Pallbearers:  Lalo Miranda, Jonathan Herrera, Alizzae Douglas, Kashun Williams, Adrian Ramos and Rudy Valdez Jr; Honorary Pallbearers; Eli and Josh Ramirez.
